A few days ago, WordPress released a major version: WordPress 7.0. In this release, WordPress officially integrated AI.
AI has developed quickly over the past few years, but WordPress has not been very proactive about it. Many AI-related plugins appeared, but most of them were not very good.
Many people also gave up on WordPress because using AI inside WordPress was not convenient enough.
This new WordPress version includes AI, but you still need to install the official plugin named “AI” and connect it to the official API from Claude, GPT, or Gemini in the settings.
So in reality, many people still cannot use it easily.
The official AI plugin also only provides a few basic generation features. It does not provide full article generation, and it does not provide bulk generation.
WordPress AI Generator Plugin
In 2023, I built a WordPress AI SEO plugin. Its main purpose was to generate SEO-friendly articles in bulk. Relying mostly on this blog, I sold many copies of the plugin in 2024.
At the beginning of 2025, I created a new version. Instead of selling the plugin as a one-time product, I moved it to an AI SaaS model: the plugin is free, and paid subscriptions provide credits, which means selling AI usage. I then officially listed the plugin in the WordPress plugin directory under a new name: AI Generator.
Throughout 2025, I was selling both the old plugin version and the new subscription version. Surprisingly, the old plugin still sold more overall.
But the old version has not been updated for a long time. I have only been iterating on the new version, and the new version is already much better in both features and overall experience.
Recently, I made another update to the new version and launched a new domain for its companion website.

Main Features of WordPress AI Generator
- AI SEO Article Generation
This is the traditional feature. It first analyzes search intent, then generates the article. As a result, the generated content matches the user’s search intent and needs very closely. This is single-article generation.
